The Pi(e) Day Collection

Pi Day was founded in 1988 by physicist Larry Shaw. US Congress set it as an official US holiday in 2009. The date – 3/14 – not only aligns with the first 3 numbers of the mathematical symbol of pi (3.14), but also happens to be Albert Einstein’s birthday. It’s my favorite holiday, and I take the opportunity each year to pull out my cookbooks to make some pie. Each year, there will be new post on the recipes chosen. Enjoy – and happy Pi(e) Day!
